Tim Devitt CADC 1, CTA-CC          

Tim is an Addictions Counselor, a Recovery Coach and Founder of SexualRecoveryCoach.com.He is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, a Certified Professional Coach and a Sex Addiction Specialist.

Tim began working as a Recovery Coach in 2005, launching LASoberCoach.com, a service for recovering addicts in Southern California. He then went on to The Gooden Center in Pasadena, a residential treatment facility, worked in the DARE program, and The Sexual Recovery Institute, a premier sex addiction treatment center in Los Angeles.

Tim founded SexualRecoveryCoach to address the needs of men and women in early and ongoing recovery from sex addiction, porn addiction and other sex and love compulsions, providing a level of care sufficient for many who do not feel the need to go away to a treatment facility, but need more structure and support than weekly therapy can provide.

Tim has done extensive telephone counseling, and has developed a speciality in Distance Coaching using encrypted Skype as well as smart phone technology. With these methods a recovery program can be available to anyone anywhere.

He has worked with high profile individuals who require extreme discretion as well as traveling to accompany clients when necessary.

With nearly 40 years of personal recovery, Tim is a powerful role model and mentor for his clients. His coaching reflects a deep foundation of addiction recovery along with the skills of the Professional Counselor and Coach.

Tim has had a former career as a writer, director and actor. His passion for helping those with addictive disorders has informed his work throughout his career. He produced and directed the feature film, Damaged, the story of three generations of addicted men in a family. He collaborated with the singer Gloria Estefan to produce a series of drunk driving awareness ads, and he won an Emmy award for an anti-smoking public service campaign for The National Cancer Society. His background gives him a unique understanding of the challenges of creative individuals in recovery, as well as the potential for new creative heights and possibilities.



Bill Owen CADC II - Consultant

Bill Owen, CADC II became a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the State of Maine over two decades ago. Since moving to California 20 years ago he has been working with sex addicts and their families in multiple treatment settings including but not limited to his own private practice, The Sexual Disorders Unit at Del Amo Hospital in Torrance, CA, The Sexual Recovery Institute of Los Angeles and Blue Tiger Recovery in Palm Springs

Bill has worked as a primary clinician providing assessments, individual and group therapy services and occasionally interventions. He has also worked in administration in several programs providing office management, program coordination, intake and admissions expertise and services.

Bill’s expertise, compassion and ability to relate to clients is unsurpassed in our industry. Bill’s own personal recovery began in 1984.
